Alejandro J. Sabillón is a multidisciplinary artist from Honduras exploring the wonders and mysteries at the frontiers of the musical unknown, including the cultures and music of animal and digital minds.
He founded the world’s first record label for non-humans and has developed novel ways to compose music using quantum computers, visual art, repressed memories, the night sky, and flora/fauna. His work is influenced by the art and wisdom of indigenous Central America, pre-Columbian futurism aesthetics and priorities, and various contemplative world traditions. A Berklee College of Music graduate, Alejandro has performed worldwide as a DJ, including a United Nations-recognized ambassadorship.
In 2025 he became Poet Laureate for the city of Lawrence and also became the first DJ in the country to be a featured touring artist for their state. His other accolades include awards from the Andy Warhol Foundation, Fundació Palau de les Arts, and the Spencer Museum of Art, showcasing his innovative approaches to experiencing music, art, and the universe.
