Mid-America Arts Alliance

Our Vision

More Art for More People

Mid-America Arts Alliance strengthens and supports artists, cultural organizations, and communities throughout our region and beyond.

Established in 1972, Mid-America Arts Alliance (M-AAA) was the nation’s first regional arts organization. We work in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts and the state arts agencies of Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Texas to enhance the arts in our region.

We are artists, administrators, historians, preservationists, preparators. We are writers, painters, photographers, activists.

M-AAA believes that freedom of cultural and creative expression is fundamental to humanity.

What We Do

M-AAA provides programs for individual artists, arts and culture organizations, and galleries and spaces serving audiences across the country. We make grants, provide trainings, and convene people to help make art work for everyone. M-AAA believes that collaborations and partnerships leverage creativity, resources, and experience to expand possibilities.

Our programs are: Artist INC, Artistic Innovations grants, Artists 360, Engage, ExhibitsUSA, Interchange, Regional Touring Program grants. To learn more, visit maaa.org.
