First Peoples Fund Fellowships are open to visual, performing, and literary artists with cash awards of $10,000. Applicants must be an enrolled member or provide proof of lineal descendancy of a U.S. federally recognized tribe, a state recognized tribe, or be an Alaska Native or Native Hawaiian.
There are two categories in which to apply:
Artists in Business Leadership Fellowships
Deadline: August 7, 2023
This fellowship provides working capital funds and professional development resources for artists interested in strengthening their art business and establishing themselves as independent artists.
Cultural Capital Fellowships
Deadline: August 14, 2023
This fellowship provides grant funding for artists whose practice is centered on cultural heritage and community.
