Ryan Smith is a multi-instrumentalist and music producer interested in using music primarily to bring peace and calmness to others. Since 2018, he has been creating and performing a unique approach to solo music: live cello with delicate backing tracks he creates to fill in the harmonies, rhythms, and expression. This music has afforded him a full-time job performing in a wide variety of settings from medical (UNM Arts in Medicine program) to weddings and events of all types and sizes. His history in music goes back more than three decades, including a Bachelor’s degree focused on classical cello, explorations in all other genres with various instruments, and three self-produced albums.
