Music to Life is launching its Musician Changemaker Accelerator Academy (MCA) in February 2023.
The MCA is an eight-week social change business accelerator (followed by six months of mentoring) for 10 competitively selected musicians from around the country who seek to build sustainable music-driven programming in their communities. Musician participants come away with a concrete plan, program development skills and funding to execute their projects.
Music to Life is currently seeking to fill the positions of Course Instructors and Lunch and Learn Facilitators for the eight-weeks of online courses. Position descriptions:
- Course Instructors teach and facilitate 2-week themed sessions (taking place between February and April 2023) including (each week): two 1.5 hour instructional meetings, a coordinated/curated Lunch & Learn (hour-long facilitated discussion by invited guest) and relevant readings or assignments (no more than 1-2 hours per week for participants). Topic areas include: Idea Cultivation (Effective Storytelling); Idea into Action (Program Development & Marketing); and Idea in Community (Securing Partners & Resources). Instructors of each themed session will work closely with Music to Life in advance to develop a robust curriculum, goals and learning outcomes. ($1,000 per 2-week themed session)
- Lunch & Learn facilitators are skilled experts who offer a facilitated exchange around a topic of interest to participants and oriented around the goals of the Accelerator (program evaluation, branding/social media, working across differences, etc.). There will be one Lunch & Learn per week during each of the initial 8 weeks of instruction. ($100 per hour-long session)
