Niels Bohr Institute Arts and Science Residency / Deadline: July 1

The Strong team at the Niels Bohr Institute (NBI) is a research group working on gravity, black holes and gravitational waves. NBI invites proposals for artist residencies of up to 3 months. Projects can take various forms such as literary works, performances, art works or installations exploring the field of black holes, gravitational waves and the notion of time.

About the residency
– A three-month residency working with the Strong Group at the Niels Bohr International Academy, NBI in Copenhagen, Denmark.

– For international applicants from outside Copenhagen, we cover travel costs and accommodation expenses for the duration of the residency. We may also be able to offer a fellowship to partly cover living or other expenses.

– A curated residency: regular meetings with scientists to discuss the artist’s project/work.

At the end of the residency, the artist/writer/musician will present a piece of work, which may take the form of: a donated artwork, an exhibit, a performance, a musical piece, a public reading, or a seminar. It is not a prerequisite that the applicant is familiar with the scientific field of gravitational physics.
