The Ploughshare’s Emerging Writer’s Contest is open to writers of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry who have yet to publish or self-publish a book. One winner in each of the three genres is awarded publication, $2,000.00, a review from Aevitas Creative Management, and a one-year subscription.
The 2025 contest judges are R . O. Kwon in fiction, Joshua Bennett in poetry, and Elisa Gabbert in nonfiction.
