Located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Recycled Artist In Residency (RAIR) provides artists on-site access to recovered materials, construction equipment and a fully-equipped studio space. The RAIR Residency Program offers artists the opportunity to use the entire 3.5 acre facility as an expansive project space for the development and presentation of ambitious experimental work.
By facilitating artists’ direct engagement with the waste stream, RAIR encourages residents to consider their studio practice through the lens of sustainability and to thoughtfully re-asses their processes of material sourcing and waste disposal.
