The 5th District Democratic Women’s Club (Missouri) has launched a “VOTE” Art Competition to commemorate the ratification of the 19th Amendment and the Women’s Right to Vote; and the birth of beloved activist and founder of the 5th District Democratic Women’s Club, “Dutch” Newman.
““Dutch” Newman believed the RIGHT TO VOTE is one of the most cherished principles of American Democracy. This contest is a reminder to GET OUT AND VOTE and to NEVER take that privilege for granted.”
All entries must include the word “VOTE” with a 24″W x 13″H horizontal design. The winning entry will receive an award of $1000. In addition, their work will be displayed on over 500 yard signs throughout the Kansas City community.
Entries will be accepted from August 18, 2020 thru September 18, 2020.
