Adrienne Dawes is an award-winning playwright and screenwriter from Austin, TX. Her plays include AM I WHITE (B. Iden Payne Award, David Mark Cohen New Play Award), TEEN DAD (available through TRW Plays), HAIRY & SHERRI, and THIS BITCH. She earned her BA from Sarah Lawrence College and studied sketch & improv at Second City Training Center. Adrienne’s recent honors include the Walter E. Dakin Fellow at Sewanee Writers’ Conference, Alice Judson Hayes Fellow at Ragdale, and residencies with Colt Coeur, PlySpace, and Crosstown Arts. Her work has been presented by Great Plains Theatre Conference, Theatre Bedlam, and she recently staffed on a Hulu/ABC Signature limited TV series (EP: Ellen Pompeo).
