Alisha Saucedo, she/her, is a local artist in Topeka, KS who utilizes ceramics and fiber to create pieces that can be utilized in community. Alisha’s work is influenced by her experience as a Black artist and social worker in the midwest. She has been a practicing ceramic artist for 21/2 years. Her work was featured recently in the Topeka Area Chapter of The Links Celebrating Black History art show at Arts Connect.
Alisha Saucedo began her art business journey in 2021. Alisha was a member of the 2022 Artist’s Inc cohort in Topeka. She describes her art is “functional soul”, creating pieces that speak to usefulness in life while connecting to emotional depth. Her art is fueled by her connection and exploration of her body, emotion, and social influences. Alisha loves to share her art and experience with other creators of color.
