The Queer Narratives Festival is the premiere visual and performing arts destination for LGBTQ+ artists in Kansas City. The 5th Annual Queer Narratives Festival includes 8 weeks of LGBTQ+ programming that includes the visual art exhibit in partnership with InterUrban ArtHouse taking place throughout June, July and August. It culminates in the Main Festival taking place the first weekend in August which features 2 nights of performances of all varieties. When: Main Festival August 2 and 3, 2024 All Events: Queer Narratives Festival June 17-August 1 Where: Main Festival 2016 Main Event Space 2016 Main St, Kansas City, MO 64108 Interested in participating?? Apply to be either a Visual Artist or Performing Artist using the submission forms below. Performing artists receive an artist stipend of $300-$400 depending on size and set length. Set lengths range from 15 minutes to 45 minutes. Visual Artists receive an artist stipend of $100 and also have the opportunity to sell their work during the exhibit. Please note that the visual artists' work will be shown as part of InterUrban ArtHouse's Identity Exhibit. InterUrban ArtHouse takes a 30% commission of all exhibition sales. Dates for the exhibit are listed in the submission form. Artisans, craftspeople and vendors: You will have the opportunity to participate in our QNF Art Fair, taking place on Friday, July 19 at InterUrban ArtHouse.
