The Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, located in Bentonville, Arkansas, is currently accepting nominations for the Don Tyson Prize.
The prize is given every two years, with the most recent recipient, in 2020, being Houston-based organization Project Row Houses. Other winners of the prize include Vanessa German in 2018, and the Archives of American Art in 2016.
The winner of the prize receives a $200,000 cash award and will be recognized at an event at the museum. Nominees will have:
—Changed the way we look at, think about, or experience art
—Increased access to art in their community
—Broadened the reach of art through inclusivity
—Impacted the field through innovation and risk-taking
—Navigated current issues in creative and inspiring ways
The deadline to nominate an artist or organization for the prize is April 29, 2022.
