KaniniFest / Due: March 31

KaniniFest is a one-act play festival specifically for BIPOC playwrights. It will be taking place at The Momentary in Bentonville, AR the weekend of October 11-13, 2024.

Six plays will be chosen from the submissions to produce over the course of the weekend. Playwrighgts will be flown Bentonville and provided accommodations so that they can attend the festival and see the performance of their work.

Complementary to the performance of the one-act plays, the festival will feature cultural performances and presentations representing a wide breadth of the diaspora, including Indigenous American nations, The Divine Nine and the local Marshallese community (which is the largest in the United States). There will also be vendors, food trucks, African dance and drum classes, face-painting, a youth writing workshop, storytellers and other programming for kids.

Candidates should be aware that submission makes their works also eligible for consideration by the annual Arkansas New Play Festival. All those wishing to learn more about the festival and submit for consideration can do so at www.mojaproductions.com.
