Rural Regenerator Fellowship / Deadline: June 20

Springboard for the Arts offer the Rural Regenerator Fellowship. This Fellowship brings together individual artists, makers, grassroots organizers, community development workers, public sector workers, and other rural change-makers who are committed to advancing the role of art, culture, and creativity in rural development and community building. Fellows participate in two years of peer learning and exchange, and receive an unrestricted $10,000 stipend. Applicants must live, work, or have a strong connection to a rural community. Open to Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Iowa, Illinois, Kansas, Nebraska, and/or the Native Nations that share those geographies.

Fellows will be selected based on their demonstrated commitment and passion for rural art, culture and creativity, their interest in exchanging ideas and learning with other Fellows, and their vision and ideas for the future of rural places. People who are Black, Indigenous, Native, People of Color, LGBTQIA2+, and/or people with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply, and will be prioritized in the selection process.

The Rural Regenerator Fellowship was launched in 2021, expanding on Springboard’s 10 years of rural programming.
