Tulsa Musician Changemaker Accelerator / Deadline: October 17

The Tulsa Musician Changemaker Accelerator (TMCA) is a collaboration between local nonprofit, Red Dirt Relief Fund and national nonprofit, Music to Life to provide hands-on training for Oklahoma-based musicians so they can create and deliver sustainable, music-driven social change programs. TMCA takes place on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 from 9am-5pm at OKPOP in Tulsa.

Supported with funding from Arvest Foundation, TMCA is a ‘deep-dive’ business-skills workshop where artists will receive training in proposal development, identifying good-fit partners and mobilizing community support. Artists will develop a draft outline of their concept, fundraising, and partnership ideas, and an individualized artist changemaker statement.

Participating musicians will receive a $50 stipend, complimentary breakfast and lunch, and all TMCA materials. In partnership with Tulsa Film, Music, Arts + Culture and Music Cities Events, the first 15 selected artists will also receive complimentary passes to the Tulsa Music Cities Convention (worth $600) in downtown Tulsa on November 3-5. Additionally, artists will receive up to four hours of follow up technical assistance from Music to Life and SCORE, Tulsa’s chapter of expert business mentors, to help formulate grants, partnerships, and troubleshoot program challenges. Finally, participating artists qualify for Music to Life’s juried artist list and their National Music for Change Network with ongoing performance, educational and grants opportunities.

SPACE IS LIMITED.  To participate, please complete this application no later than midnight on Monday, October 17, 2022. Participating artists will be selected and notified by Monday, October 24, 2022.

This application should take approximately 10-15 minutes and seeks to understand:
