Colin McLaughlin

Colin McLaughlin is a St. Louis-based actor, musician, and playwright. Recent stage credits include Charles Kettering in Big Machine (fka The Butterfly Room) (COCA), musician and co-composer with Syrhea Conaway for In My Granny’s Garden (Metro Theater Company), Antipholus of Bevo and musical director/composer in Winds of Change (St. Louis Shakespeare Festival’s 9th Shakespeare in the Streets), and Ferris Frankfurter in Spells of the Sea (Metro Theater Company). Colin worked as a clown at St. Louis Children’s Hospital for five years, and as a humanitarian clown in Peru and Guatemala as part of the Gesundheit Institute’s global outreach program. Colin comes from a family of musicians and is an experienced songwriter well-versed in the traditions of jazz, blues, and folk music. He wrote the original score for Mrs. Palmer’s Honey, an 8-part audio play produced by Bread and Roses Missouri, now available on KDHX’s website. He received a Bachelor of Science in social work from Saint Louis University in 2018 and is a founding member of the Action Art Collaborative.
