Robert Bean grew up on the pulpy pages of comic books. This love of story grew alongside his love of drawing, leading him to study at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock where he received a degree in Studio Art with an emphasis in drawing. He serves as the Department Chair of Painting and Drawing at the Windgate Art School of the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts and teaches at UA Little Rock. A recent recipient of the Individual Artist Fellowship award from the Arkansas Arts Council, Robert lives and works in Little Rock, Arkansas.
